Before I had my first shoulder surgery I hired a health coach because I know how hard some surgeries can be and I wanted to make sure that I would be set up for success with keeping my health on track. Megan, the health coach I worked with was wonderful! She was an encourager, supporter, and provided ideas during the hard weeks. I learned to adjust and what worked for me during this season. We would celebrate the wins and find ways to make progress on things that needed work. A simple thing that I learned with nutrition and supplements is something I will call front loading. Most supplements from my experience don't need to be taken at a particular time. So what I did was the first half of the day I got in my water and supplements that mixed in water that were important for recovery (muscles, joints etc.), then at lunch if I got all of the things important in, I would have a Diet Coke w/lime and coconut with lunch. Not only did front-loading work well for me, it also helped me to feel successful when I accomplished getting in my water intake goal and supplements. Then if I wanted to enjoy something else to drink, it didn't impact getting in the essentials. Have you found something that works for you? There is a water bottle and cup I utilized to keep track of my water and a blender cup for supplements. Here are the links if you are interested! They have different sizes of the water bottle and cups. I have been utilizing these items since 2021 and love them. Blender cup is great for travel too and it uses a usb-c charger.
