Don't wait, Start today!

You may feel like you have to know _______ before you can start working out or bettering your health. Guess what, you don't. Simple is better. Starting small and being consistent is better than all the fancy workout programs and diet fads. Making small changes and being consistent every day is the way to go. You will learn along the way. As you lean into to this process, you will find joy in what you learn and how you grow. Change takes times and in order for change to take it's full effect and for us to see results, there must be consistency.

There is countless information out there with all kinds of opinions about how to achieve good health and fitness. What I have found to be best for consistency and long term results is start with the basics. Pick a few things and get consistent with them and then build on them. Track them for a month. Assess, make adjustments, and celebrate progress each week. If you need help with it, ask someone. There are a lot of people willing to help.

For example, a recent change I have been making is to drink less Diet Coke to support a particular health goal. I have found other alternatives that are much better options and trade it out for this. It hasn't been perfect, on occasion I still have more than I should, but as I become consistent with the changes, I want it less and the inflammation is decreasing.

Another example is choosing one exercise per muscle group and be consistent with them for a month, then add to them. I had to rebuild after some challenges that took me out of working out. To get back on track and build back-I set up two simple workouts and focused on getting super consistent with them, and guess what results came and I became excited and wanted to add more in.

What is a change you have been holding out on because you feel like you don't know enough, or have what it takes? What would it take for you to start today?

What is one thing on your heart that you want to accomplish in regard to health and fitness? What is stopping you?
